HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY VISIT
As a parent or caregiver of your child, you should know the common symptoms a child displays, or be able to know why a cardiology assessment should be done. Even for a well-child visit, you should be able to recognize any red flags, as discussed above, to explain to the doctor during the visit.
If you child has an emergency before the visit, such as a sudden loss of consciousness or chest pain, remember to call 911 or visit the nearest Emergency Room. When you visit our pediatric cardiology consultants practice in the Greater San Antonio area, please bring all the necessary past medical records of the child, including vaccination records and paperwork from any other doctor visits.
You can always have a checklist of things to ask Dr. Olawale Olabiyi to address your concerns and play an active role in understanding your child’s cardiac health, even if the visit does not entail any active health issues. Some helpful questions and concerns can be:
